About the Creators

Lucy Maud (L.M.) Montgomery is the author of the original Anne of Green Gables, which was published in 1908. Born in 1874, she was a Canadian author among other things. While Anne is her best remembered character, Montgomery went on to publish many other novels, short stories, poems and essays before she passed in 1942.

Mariah Marsden is the adaptor of this original story, and one of the main creators for this comic adaptation. She earned her MFA in Creative Writing and Media Arts. She also has a BA in Literature and Theory. 

Brenna Thummler is the illustrator and other creator of this adaptation. Thummler grew up in Pennsylvania, and she has her BFA from Ringling College of Art and Design. She is also the illustrator and author for Sheets, another graphic novel.
